Frequently Asked Questions

General

  1. Do I have to create an account to view the online courses?
    Yes. An account is required to view online courses, take the online exams, or enroll in the In Person Training.

  2. I had an account on the previous version of the portal, but cannot log in anymore. What happened?
    On the old system, if you already had an account, your user name has been now changed to match your email address. Your password has also been reset. You should have received an email with this information. If not, request your login credentials here.

  3. I used to access the training through Quia, but Quia no longer works?
    Quia was QLogic's old online exam system and is no longer used. If you were granted a certification after passing a Quia exam, a new account in this portal was created for you using your email address as your username. You should have received an email with this information. If not, request your login credentials here.

    If you had a Quia account but never took an exam, you will need to register for a new account.

Online Courses

  1. How many times can I view a course ?
    You can view a course as many times as you like.

  2. I want to view a course again, but it's not listed on the 'Registrations' tab in My Account?
    After you complete a course for the first time, it gets moved to the 'Completed Training' tab in My Account. You can re-launch the course from there.

  3. What browers/plugins are required for the Online Courses.
    The Online Courses require the Adobe Flash Player version 6.0.79 or higher. The latest version of the Flash player can be downloaded from the following site: http://www.adobe.com/go/getflash.

In Person Training

  1. I registered for a class, why is my status 'Pending Approval'?
    All QLogic In Person Classes require approval from a Registrar. After your request for seat has been reviewed, you will receive an email with information concerning your request.

  2. I completed an In Person class, but my online certification status still says 'Pending'.
    Final granting of a certification is performed by an administrator. Once the instructor has submitted the class records the administrator will approve the certification.

  3. How do I cancel a class?
    To cancel a class, locate the class under "My Account". It should be listed under the Registrations tab. Click the Cancel link to cancel your registration.

Certification (Exams and Programs)

  1. I failed an exam. Can I take an exam more than once?
    Yes. After you have taken the exam once, you can find it on the 'Completed Training' tab in My Account. You can re-launch the exam from there.

  2. I want to retake an exam, but the system won't let me register for it again. How can I retake it?
    After you have taken an exam once, you can find it the 'Completed Training' tab in My Account. You can re-launch the exam from there.

  3. I passed an exam but did not receive an email confirming it. What should I do?
    Exam results are reviewed by an administrator. Once the results have been confirmed, you should receive an email confirmation, typically within one to two business days.

  4. I got an email confirming that I passed the exam for a Certification but the status for it shows as Pending. What does that mean?
    Certification is not officially granted in the system until an administrator approves it. It should be granted within two business days of the exam passed notification email.

  5. When does my certification expire?
    QLogic Certifications expire when there is a new version of the Certification Exam(s). When a new version is announced, you will be given 90 days to upgrade your certification.

  6. The online exam has an option for me to print out my results. Should I print them?
    Yes. It is always a good idea to make a personal copy of the results for your records.

  7. My prior certification results are missing or incorrect.
    Please contact QLogic Global Training if you believe your certification status is incorrect or missing.
